Xiaomi 13 Pro :All set to launch on February 26, 2023
Xiaomi just stated that the flagship Xiaomi 13 series will be unveiled for global regions on February 26. The Xiaomi 13 is available in two variants: the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The company has also confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will be launched in India on the same day, making it India’s first 1-inch camera smartphone.
Given the company’s track record in India, the brand is likely to reveal only the pro model — the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which will also be the first Xiaomi smartphone powered by Leica.
Xiaomi 13 Pro features and specifications
The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 6.73-inch curved display with 1440p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz, as well as Corning Gorilla Victus protection. The phone boasts an 86.9% screen-to-body ratio and an LTPO display with a customizable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The display has a punch hole in the centre that conceals a 32MP selfie camera.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC powers the smartphone, which has up to 512GB of internal storage (based on UFS 4.0) and up to 12GB of RAM. It should be noted that the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s base model comes with 128GB of UFS 3.1-based storage and 8GB of RAM. There is also a 256GB Xiaomi 13 Pro model with 8/12GB of RAM.
The new and upgraded camera system is expected to be the centrepiece of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The camera contains three 50MP lenses: a 50MP 1-inch wide-angle lens (f/1.9, 23mm), a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.2, 14mm), and a 50MP telephoto lens (f/2.0, 75mm) with 3.2x optical zoom capabilities.
The device is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 120W rapid wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The gadget will support 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and several geo-positioning systems such as GPS, NaVIC, and GLONASS.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro may be the most expensive smartphone that the firm has ever launched in India. Given the costs of the recently released iQOO 11 and the OnePlus 11, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is likely to cost around Rs 65,000 in India. In terms of software, the phone is expected to come with MIUI 14, which is based on the Android 13 operating system.
