Toyota Innova Hycross First Look

After years of rumours about its brand-new premium MPV and several spy photos of prototype cars, Toyota has finally debuted the newest Innova. The well-liked model, which was introduced in Indonesia under the name Innova Zenix, is scheduled to make its official debut here in India later this week and will have a new nameplate. Here are all the specifics on the Innova Hycross, which is what it will actually be called.
How is it on the outside?
The Hycross is a true crossover, and it certainly appears to be one. It appears to have a very high bonnet based on the images and how high it sits off the ground. Many aspects of the front-end are similar to the Fortuner, particularly the bumper and the LED headlamps. Many Innova enthusiasts would love the fact that it lacks any of the conventional MPV characteristics. The India-spec vehicle will have the same appearance, but because the Innova Zenix only comes in several tones of black and silver, we hope Toyota India will provide other colours.
The new model’s measurements are 4.75m long, 1.85m broad, and over 1.8m high. Meanwhile, the ground clearance is rated at 185mm. At 2.85m, the wheelbase is up to 100mm longer.
How is it on the inside?
The interior is a significant improvement over the Innova Crysta, just like the exterior. Compared to the present car, the dual-tone interior appears more contemporary and durable. The main console is prominently stacked vertically and contains a 10-inch display with the newest connectivity features. According to Toyota, the inside has a few soft-touch materials. The twin screen entertainment system with 10-inch panels behind the front seats is one of the attractions at the back. These are probably available as showroom-level options on the India-spec model.
What’s on the feature list?
The forthcoming Hycross is set to change because the Innova Crysta isn’t exactly the king of the hill when it comes to features. Multiple model levels will be available, with the most expensive having features like a digital instrument panel, a big panoramic sunroof, an automated parking brake, a wireless charging pad, leather seats, paddle shifters behind the wheel, and ambient lighting. Additionally, the Indonesian-spec Zenix has ADAS, blind spot monitoring, and 360-degree camera views, all of which we hope to see on the Hycross for India.
What about pricing and rivals?
Naturally, the larger, better-equipped Innova Hycross will be priced higher than the Innova Crysta petrol models, with estimates for pricing ranging between Rs 24 and Rs 30 lakh. It will face competition from a range of vehicles, including the petrol-powered Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Tucson, and possibly even a vehicle like the Skoda Kodiaq.
