Muriel’s Wedding star Toni Collette makes shock personal announcement

Following the release of pictures of her husband Dave Galafassi passionately kissing another lady off a Sydney beach, actress Toni Collette announced that she and her husband are divorcing.
It is with grace and thanks that we announce we are divorcing, Collette wrote in a post on Instagram. Collette is best known for playing the iconic character of Muriel in the 1994 film Muriel’s Wedding.
“We have come to a decision together and will part ways with mutual respect and care.
.”Our children are our top priority, and our family will continue to grow, albeit in a different way.
We appreciate the room and affection you give us as we grow and quietly navigate this adjustment.
“Big thanks,” was written after the statement. David Galafassi and Toni Collette.
Five days prior to the significant personal disclosure, Collette had made a comeback on Instagram.
“I am back. World, welcome. I adore you,” she wrote next to a picture of herself holding a cup and gazing out of a window.
Two days later, the celebrity posted a picture of two skeletons discovered in an Iranian cemetery in 1972.
“Love never dies. In 1972, these two were discovered in Iran. About 2800 years have passed since they first began kissing and cuddling, she commented below the photo.
“At first, it was believed that they were two males, but later it was learned that she (on the left) was about 22 when she died. He was in his early 30s. I cherish them.
After being hitched in a Buddhist ceremony in 2003, percussionist Galafassi and Collette were already husband and wife for almost 20 years.
Sage Florence Galafassi and Arlo Robert Galafassi are the couple’s two children.
In an interview with The Morning Show, entertainment writer Peter Ford provided additional insights regarding the shocking split.
“This has a backstory. The Daily Mail obtained paparazzi images of David passionately kissing an unknown young woman yesterday.
“We have these pictures, can you respond to us?” they asked Toni Collette’s management, but they received no response. However, a few hours later, Toni posted a joint statement on her Instagram that was beautifully worded and focused on love, respect, and most importantly, the care and concern for their children.
We hope the best for them both.
Galafassi was hurt in a “devastating” motorcycle accident in NSW in 2019; Collette posted on social media to express gratitude to first responders for saving his life.
At the time, Collette stated, “He is presently healing slowly but effectively.
“We’re so fortunate he’s still with us. Without the outstanding employees at @nswambulance and @tollambulancerescue, it might not have been the case.
She commented, “I’m very grateful for your promptness, clarity, knowledge, compassion, and dedication.
We are so grateful that you saved him.
