Wednesday’s friendly match between Manchester United and LaLiga team Cádiz ended in a 4-2 loss for United, despite the fact that they rallied from two goals behind to briefly tie the score.

Rubén Sobrino converted a cross in the 57th minute, and Tomás Alarcón added a fourth in the 77th to give Cádiz, who are presently ranked 19th in LaLiga, the victory.

Seven players, including Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Elanga, and Martial, started for Man United in the Premier League so far this season.
United began their comeback when 19-year-old midfielder Zidane Iqbal was fouled in the box and Martial converted the ensuing penalty with a Panenka after swiftly falling down by two goals.
Then, Mainoo, a 17-year-old midfielder who has yet to play in a competitive first-team match, equalised for the visitors with a deflected shot from the edge of the box.
At halftime, both teams made significant substitutions: United changed all 10 of its outfield players, while Cadiz made nine changes. The hosts were the ones that adjusted best and ultimately prevailed.
Erik ten Hag’s team will play Real Betis on Saturday in Spain before returning to competitive play on December 21 at home against Burnley in the Carabao Cup round of 16 — three days after the World Cup final.
