Intercity vs Barcelona : Lines up & updates

Barca hopes to beat Intercity and get off to a good Copa del Rey start.

More times than any other side in the history of the competition, Barcelona has won the Copa del Rey. In 2021, they defeated Athletic Bilbao to win a record-breaking 31st championship. However, the exact same opponents eliminated them from the tournament in the Ro16 during the previous campaign. They’ll be aiming to win it once more this year in order to add to their outstanding collection of trophies.

Intercity, a team from the third division, will be Barcelona’s opponent in its opening game. They should easily defeat their opponents while giving some crucial playing time to both young players and players just coming off an injury.

Intercity is currently in 16th place in Group 2 of the Primera Federación with only 19 points after 17 games. They have already played league opponents from Barcelona B this year. However, given that the Blaugrana are focused on upcoming games, players will be eager to put up a strong performance against Barca’s first team.
